IMEI 004999010640000 = Corrupt locktables

Postby pushfix » Sun Jan 10, 2010 10:13 am

Users with an IMEI of 004999010640000 cannot purchase at this time. I will investigate either a cure, or an alternative way of dealing with this problem. Because my keys are issued per IMEI, this breaks the licensing and I cannot automate customers with this IMEI.

If you have an IMEI of 004999010640000, you have a crypto failure in your locktables in the seczone and your phone is in "lockdown" mode.

... This patch caused the locktables to be rewritten to the unlocked state which resulted in a cypto failure once the patch was removed during a BB upgrade, causing the 0049 IMEI issue.

You need to virginize your locktables, but I have not yet found out how to do that except in firmware 1.1.1 !!
